Requirements and Experience
-
Tertiary qualification in Sports Management and/or a related field
-
Previous experience as a Head of Sports, Deputy, or at least 5 years as MIC (Master in Charge)
-
Experience in sports education/management up to Grade 12 level
-
High level of proficiency in coaching several sporting codes
-
Contribute to the Management Committee
-
Provide leadership and a strategic vision for the school’s sports programme
-
Build a culture of excellence and enjoyment in sport for well-rounded boys
-
Manage a department of extramural coaches
-
Demonstrate financial acumen and manage the sports budget
-
Arrange and coordinate festivals across various sporting codes
-
Record and report on sporting performance and learner progress
-
Market and arrange school sport functions
-
Stay updated with modern coaching trends and techniques
-
Represent the school at area and district sports management/coaching levels
-
Be willing to participate in and support the Catholic Ethos of the School
Skills and Competencies

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills

Excellent planning, administration, and organisational abilities

Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills
