About the Position

De La Salle Holy Cross College is inviting applications from suitably qualified and experienced individuals for the position of Deputy Head: Pupil Affairs and Co-Curricular Activities. This key leadership role reports directly to the Head of the High School and forms part of the High School Management Team.

The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the strategic and operational life of the school, with a particular focus on pupil affairs and the co-curricular programme.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of the High School in day-to-day operations

  • Contribute to strategic planning and policy development as a member of the School Management Team (SMT)

  • Reinforce and uphold the Catholic ethos of the school

  • Manage pupil discipline and maintain the school’s Code of Conduct

  • Lead and coordinate a diverse co-curricular programme


Key Competencies

  • Approachable, empathetic, and motivational leadership style

  • Strong communication and conflict resolution skills

  • Proven leadership capabilities

  • Excellent organisational and administrative abilities


Qualifications & Experience

  • A degree qualification in education with SACE registration

  • Minimum of 10 years’ high school experience

  • At least 3 years in a leadership role


Additional Requirements

  • Clearance Certificate from the Sexual Offenders Register

  • A willingness to embrace the Catholic ethos, values, and mission of the College
