Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be an experienced educator with a background in school leadership, holding a professional teaching qualification, an accredited 3-year university degree, and registration with SACE. They will have at least 5 years of experience as a Deputy Headmaster, Principal, or Vice Principal in an independent school environment, preferably within the IEB curriculum.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership: Provide leadership and support to the Headmaster, staff, and students, ensuring the smooth operation of the school.

  • Management: Oversee the day-to-day management of the school in the absence of the Headmaster, including facilities, staff, and administration.

  • Strategic Development: Assist in the development, review, implementation, and monitoring of school policies.

  • Staff Management: Play an active role in staff development, training, and performance appraisals, ensuring high standards of teaching and management.

  • Co-curricular Activities: Promote and actively contribute to the House System and other co-curricular activities.

  • Fundraising and Marketing: Oversee the execution and involvement in the College’s fundraising and marketing activities.

  • Parent and Stakeholder Engagement: Engage positively with learners, parents, teachers, alumni, and other stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships across the school community.

  • Health & Safety: Assume responsibility for campus Occupational Health and Safety inspections and maintenance.

  • Other Duties: Oversee college hearings, recruitment, interviews, scholarships, and marketing activities as required.


Qualifications & Experience:

  • A professional teaching qualification and accredited 3-year university degree

  • Registered with SACE

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Deputy Headmaster, Principal, or Vice Principal in an independent education environment (IEB experience preferred)

  • Proven leadership and managerial skills

  • Experience in handling a range of administrative tasks and school management platforms

  • Technologically Proficient: Proficient in Google Suites and relevant school administration platforms.

  • Knowledge of Boys’ Education: Understanding of the principles and practices specific to boys’ schooling.
