Job Title: Despatch Clerk

Main Objectives:
The Despatch Clerk is responsible for administering the dispatch process, including receiving and capturing stock, printing documentation, invoicing, and handling various other administrative tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Receive and capture stock from bakeries for dispatch.

Handle all dispatch administration, including data capture.

Process and capture invoices.
-
Assist with resolving customer complaints.
-
Check physical stock against system stock and verify figures.
-
Supervise staff involved in the dispatch process.

Verify physical stock against picking slips on trucks.
-
Ensure that trucks are loaded correctly and on time.
Skills and Attributes Required:

Strong organisational understanding.

Knowledge of in-house systems (DRM, GP10, and GP2015).

Familiarity with business processes, rules, and procedures.

Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong numerical ability.

Innovative mindset with a focus on continuous improvements.

Qualification Requirements:

Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent.

Computer literate.
Experience Requirements:

2–3 years of experience in a similar position within an FMCG environment.
Key Outputs:

This is a 6-day position, requiring availability on Saturdays, Sundays, and Public Holidays as needed.

Ability to handle customer complaints professionally.

Must work effectively within a team environment to meet daily deadlines.
