About the Role
Volvo Trucks is seeking a qualified Diesel Technician to perform maintenance and repair work on heavy commercial vehicles, ensuring compliance with company quality and efficiency standards. The role involves fault diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities

Diagnose faults on Volvo products using manuals, service literature, and observation.

Perform repairs and maintenance according to Volvo standards.

Follow workshop manuals and repair instructions accurately.

Provide detailed reports on diagnoses, component assessments, repairs, and recommendations.

Liaise with drivers during breakdowns and ensure correct documentation.

Comply with ISO 9001 and other safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience

Matric certificate / N3.

Trade Test Certificate – Qualified Diesel Mechanic.

Minimum 3 years dealership experience in heavy commercial vehicle maintenance and repair.
Key Competencies
-
Ability to read and use relevant measuring equipment.

Technical knowledge and skills to perform correct repairs.

Ability to interpret technical manuals and specifications.

Proficient in English (spoken and written).

Basic computer literacy.
