Role Overview
Somerset College invites applications for the position of Director of Sport & Co-Curricular Programme for the Pre-Prep, Junior Prep, and Senior Prep School. This is a full-time, leadership position focused on developing and executing a strategic, well-coordinated sport and co-curricular programme that aligns with the school’s one-school philosophy.
The successful candidate will manage various stakeholders in the Sports Department and ensure the excellence and coherence of sporting codes across all phases.
Key Responsibilities

Strategic planning and management of the Preparatory School Sport Programme

Oversight of the Co-Curricular Programme for the Senior Prep School
-
Ensure coherence of sporting codes across Pre-Prep, Junior Prep, and Senior Prep
-
Lead and manage all staff within the Sports Department

Arrange and coordinate sporting festivals and events
-
Promote a culture of sportsmanship, motivation, and growth among students

Be available after-hours, on weekends, and during school holidays to support events
Minimum Requirements

Relevant academic qualifications

Experience in a wide range of sporting codes

Proven leadership, management, and conflict resolution skills

Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

Strong administrative capabilities

Commitment to student development and whole-school involvement

Ability to foster relationships with staff, students, and external stakeholders
