Position Summary:
WHPS seeks a dynamic, creative, and passionate Drama Teacher to teach Grades 000 to 7 and lead school productions with enthusiasm and expertise. This role includes scriptwriting, directing, choreography, costume and set design, and collaboration with the wider school team to create engaging theatrical experiences for boys at all levels.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach Drama to Grades 000 to 7

Write and adapt scripts for various age groups

Plan, manage, and direct school productions across all grades

Oversee stage production elements including choreography, costumes, sets, and make-up
-
Integrate technology into teaching and productions (sound desk and lighting skills are advantageous)

Foster a collaborative environment with academic and co-curricular staff

Support the broader academic, sporting, cultural, and extra-mural activities at WHPS
-
Monitor and support pupil development and achievement
Minimum Requirements:
-
Relevant teaching qualification and SACE registration
-
Strong organisational, interpersonal, and time-management skills
-
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
-
A passion for Drama and working with children in a boys’ school environment

Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

High energy, initiative, and adaptability
-
Proven ability to manage multiple school productions
-
Experience in teaching and theatre production is an advantage
