Job Overview:
The National Research Foundation (NRF) is seeking a Junior Driver to support its Finance & Supply Chain department. The role includes transporting staff, students, visitors, and essential goods, including sensitive materials such as isotopes. The position involves daily deliveries, collections, errands, and assisting in logistical tasks, contributing to the smooth running of NRF’s operations.
Key Responsibilities:

Transporting Personnel & Goods: Safely transport staff, post-graduates, visitors, and goods (including isotopes) to various locations.

Daily Deliveries & Collections: Perform daily deliveries, collections, and errands such as post collection, banking duties, and transportation of sensitive materials.

Vehicle Maintenance & Checks: Ensure the vehicle is in good working condition by performing regular maintenance and safety checks.

Logistical Support: Assist with airport collections and drop-offs and help with organizing work schedules for transportation.

Ensure Compliance: Monitor vehicle licenses and ensure all transportation complies with safety standards.
Key Requirements:
Qualifications:

Grade 10 or equivalent.

Valid Driver’s License: Code 08 & Code 10 with a Practical Driver’s Permit (PDP).
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years’ driving experience, including transporting both people and goods.
Skills and Knowledge:

Thorough understanding of safe driving practices, road rules, and regulations.

Familiarity with handling sensitive materials, like isotopes (preferred).

Experience in vehicle maintenance and the ability to organize and manage schedules.
