Future Nation Schools (FNS) invites applications from two qualified Educational Psychologists interested in operating a school-based private practice within our campuses in Fleurhof and Lyndhurst.
FNS is a network of six Afrocentric, tech-focused private schools (preschool, primary, and high school) that offers a holistic education through our Project-Based Learning (PBL) model — nurturing the intellectual, emotional, and social development of every learner.
About the Opportunity:
FNS seeks to collaborate with Educational Psychologists who will be provided with office space on campus at no cost. In return, the psychologist will dedicate a set number of service hours each week to support the well-being and development of FNS students through individual or group sessions as identified by the school.
Parents may also choose to arrange private sessions directly with the Educational Psychologist. These private sessions will be billed by the psychologist to the parents or their medical aid provider, with no financial involvement from the school.
Psychologists may additionally see external (non-FNS) private clients on the premises, providing accessible, professional mental health support within the community.
Scope of Work:

Conduct individual and group therapy sessions for referred students

Provide formal assessment reports and interventions for learning, emotional, or behavioural challenges

Offer consultations and feedback to parents and teachers

Support the school’s pastoral care and Insika programme, promoting student wellness and resilience

Participate in workshops and awareness sessions on mental health and learning support for learners, parents, and staff
Requirements:

Registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)

Valid professional indemnity insurance
-
Proven experience working with children and adolescents, ideally in an educational environment

Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
