✅ Minimum Requirements:

Education & Qualification:

Completed N3 and relevant Electrical Trade Test.

Experience & Training:

At least 5 years’ experience as an Electrician in FMCG Manufacturing.
MV (Medium Voltage) training (valid certificate).
Experience with AC and DC Drives.
PLC experience and training (certificate of attendance).
Exposure to instrumentation.

🛠️ Duties & Responsibilities:

Maintenance:

Perform efficient and cost-effective maintenance on all electrical equipment.
Be proactive in identifying and preventing potential faults or breakdowns.
Ensure that maintenance work is done with high standards of workmanship.
Complete electrical projects on time and to specification.
Respond to breakdowns in a cost-effective manner, minimizing production downtime.

Stand-By Duty:

Be available for stand-by duty on rotation.
Respond promptly to calls and ensure that breakdowns don’t adversely affect production.

Overtime:

Be willing to work outside normal hours when necessary to ensure no delays in work progress.

Safety & Housekeeping:

Adhere to Siqalo Foods’ safety and housekeeping policies.
Ensure that all work is compliant with the work permit / lockout system.

Admin:

Ensure that all work orders contain correct information and are submitted on time.
Submit completed documentation promptly to prevent delays in work orders or other administrative tasks.

General:

Avoid comeback jobs due to poor workmanship.
Monitor power factor correction and carry out weekly inspections to avoid unnecessary fines.
Follow proper fault-finding procedures to avoid incurring unnecessary costs.
Ensure that time management is optimized for maximum productivity.
