Minimum Requirements:
To be eligible for this bursary, you must be enrolled in one of the following programs, starting in 2026:

Civil Engineering – 2nd or 4th year of study towards BEng/BSc Civil Engineering

Industrial Engineering – 2nd or 4th year of study towards BEng/BSc Industrial Engineering

Electrical Engineering – 2nd year of study towards BEng/BSc Electrical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering – 2nd year of study towards BEng Mechanical Engineering

Metallurgical Engineering – 2nd or 4th year of study towards BEng/BSc Metallurgical/Chemical Engineering
-
Geology – 2nd or 3rd year of study towards BSc Geology

Mining Engineering – 2nd year of study towards BEng/BSc Mining Engineering

Mine Surveying – 3rd or Honours year of study towards BEng/BSc Mine Surveying
-
Data Science – 3rd year of study towards BTech degree in Data Science/BDatSci/BComp specialising in Data Science
Duties & Responsibilities:
As a recipient of the Exxaro Bursary, you will be expected to:

Maintain Academic Performance:
-
Achieve and sustain the required minimum academic average as outlined in your bursary agreement.

Complete Coursework & Assignments:
-
Fully commit to your studies, ensuring that all assignments, projects, and examinations are completed on time.

Submit Progress Reports:

Provide regular academic transcripts or progress updates each semester or term to the bursary office.

Participate in Bursary-Related Programs:
-
Engage in additional activities such as mentoring, workshops, or community outreach initiatives (if applicable).

Uphold Good Conduct:

Represent the bursary provider in a positive light and follow the institution’s code of conduct.

Commit to Work-Back Requirements:

Fulfil any service obligations or internships with Exxaro after graduation, if applicable.

Communicate Changes:

Notify Exxaro promptly of any changes in your study programme, institution, or personal circumstances.
