Job Overview
The FET English Teacher will design, plan, and deliver engaging lessons that inspire students to reach their academic potential and prepare them for success beyond school. This role involves guiding high school learners through the FET English Home Language curriculum in a future-focused, dynamic classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver engaging, innovative, and future-focused English Home Language instruction to FET learners.

Plan, organize, and implement instructional programs that challenge and inspire students.

Assess, record, and report on student academic progress.

Manage classroom behaviour effectively while maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.

Serve as a school ambassador, upholding Pinnacle College’s ethos and values.

Communicate and collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community.

Contribute to school administration, health, and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
-
Bachelor’s Degree (NQF Level 7) and PGCE or B.Ed. (FET) specializing in English.

SACE certification (required).

Police clearance certificate (required).

2–5 years’ experience teaching English Home Language at FET level.

Strong computer and digital literacy.

First Aid certification (advantageous).
