Role Overview
-
Lead English classrooms for Grades 9–12 (IGCSE and AS/A-Level).

Deliver enquiry-based lessons, supported by technology.

Prepare students for IGCSE and AS exams.

Mentor apprentice teachers and model best teaching practices.
-
Assess and monitor student progress, adjusting instruction as needed.

Participate in co-curricular activities, school committees, and supervision duties.
Key Responsibilities

Design rigorous, enquiry-based lesson plans.

Conduct ongoing student assessments and provide feedback.

Collaborate with Deans of Instruction for lesson observation and coaching.

Communicate with parents regarding student progress.

Contribute to professional development sessions and school growth initiatives.
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree in English (PGCE required).
-
SACE registration.
-
2–3 years teaching experience, preferably in secondary school.

Ability to lead classroom independently.

Strong understanding of enquiry-based, student-centered learning.

Technologically proficient in instructional tools.
-
Excellent communication, teamwork, and relational skills.
