🔹 About Ivanplats
Ivanplats (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is developing the Platreef Project, a world-class palladium, rhodium, nickel, copper, and gold mine near Mokopane. The mine uses large mechanised underground mining methods and cutting-edge technology.
🎯 Role Purpose
The Financial Accounting/Management Intern will gain practical experience and career development in finance, accounting, and management processes relevant to mining operations, both underground and on surface.
✅ Minimum Requirements
-
Degree (Minimum NQF Level 7) from a recognized South African tertiary institution

Grade 12 certificate
-
Must reside around recognized mining communities (confirmation letter from Tribal Authority/Ward Councillor required)

Must pass relevant medical fitness examination
-
Willingness to work underground and on surface
🛠️ Key Responsibilities
-
Participate in training and mentoring programmes
-
Assist in auditing and optimisation of support systems
-
Support the team with KPIs while gaining experience

Perform research as requested by supervisors

Ensure compliance with the Mine Health and Safety Act (MHSA)
