Position Overview
St Andrew’s School for Girls is seeking a dynamic and professional Foundation Phase Intern to support Grades 1–3 in a values-driven, Christian learning environment. The role offers hands-on experience for aspiring teachers enrolled in a BEd degree, providing an opportunity to gain practical classroom skills and contribute to the school community.
Key Responsibilities

Assist in teaching and learning for Grades 1–3

Support extra-mural programs and school events

Attend staff development sessions and school meetings as required

Work collaboratively as part of the Junior School team

Uphold the ethos, traditions, and values of the school
Requirements

Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of a BEd degree

Enthusiastic about working with young children

Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and organisational skills

Disciplined, self-motivated, and able to work under pressure

Willing to attend after-hours functions, meetings, and school events

Willingness to apply for clearance with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register
