About the Position:
St Paulus is seeking enthusiastic and committed Foundation Phase and Intersen Phase Intern Teachers for the 2026 academic year. These positions are for one academic year, with the possibility of gaining valuable experience in teaching children from Grade 1 to Grade 7.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in teaching students from Grade 1 to Grade 7 across various subjects.

Participate in extra mural activities and support the broader school community.
-
Uphold and promote the Catholic ethos of the school.

Engage in the school’s curriculum delivery based on the CAPS curriculum.

Contribute to classroom management, lesson planning, and the general educational environment.
Qualifications and Experience:
-
Matric Certificate.
-
Currently enrolled at a university, studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Foundation Phase or Intersen Phase.

Previous experience working with children (advantageous).
-
Provisional SACE registration.
Skills, Competencies, and Requirements:
-
Fully bilingual in English and Afrikaans (as per the school’s language policy).

Computer literate.
-
A valid Police Clearance Certificate.

Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum (advantageous).

Willingness to participate in extra-mural activities.
-
A practicing Catholic or a thorough understanding of Catholicism and its ethos.

Ability to uphold the school’s Catholic ethos.
