Orion College is an English-medium private remedial and assisted learning school in Randpark Ridge that caters to learners with diverse learning needs, neurodiverse challenges, and a range of abilities. The school provides three educational streams and integrated therapeutic support from a multidisciplinary team.

Role Summary:
Orion College seeks a full-time Remedial Therapist to join its Primary School team from January 2026, working across the Foundation Phase, Intermediate Phase, and Grade 7. The successful candidate will design and deliver tailored remedial interventions and collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Teaching qualification (Foundation Phase or Intermediate Phase).

  • Appropriate postgraduate remedial qualification.

  • Minimum 5 years of classroom teaching experience.

  • Experience delivering remedial interventions.

  • Proficiency in administering scholastic assessments and compiling detailed reports.

  • SACE registration and current Police Clearance.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver individual and group remedial therapy tailored to learner needs.

  • Conduct assessments and compile professional reports.

  • Collaborate with teachers and therapists; perform classroom observations.

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.

  • Liaise with parents and staff regarding learner progress.

  • Plan and deliver weekly remedial sessions.

  • Prepare and conduct learner or staff workshops as needed.

  • Perform other relevant duties as required by the school.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Professional discretion and strong ethical standards in handling confidential matters.

  • Computer literate.

  • Prior experience in a remedial or inclusive learning environment is advantageous.
