REQUIREMENTS:

Education: ABET Certificate (higher qualifications advantageous)

Experience: Preference for relevant work experience in a similar environment

Knowledge & Competencies:
-
Lawn care, vegetation clearance, and general grounds maintenance
-
Basic maintenance practices for government water infrastructure
-
Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) procedures
-
Basic understanding of government legislation and policy implementation
-

Additional: Candidates will be expected to perform a practical test during interviews
DUTIES:
-
Assist artisans and technicians with maintenance and operational tasks
-
Load and off-load equipment and materials as directed
-
Perform general maintenance activities, including:
-
Fencing, weed control, gardening, painting
-
Maintenance of fire breaks and herbicide application
-

Conduct routine inspections
-
Perform maintenance tasks on government water infrastructure and related facilities
-
Report faults, defects, and safety hazards to supervisors
-
Adhere to OHS regulations
-
Assist with other general duties as requested
