📚 About the Role
We are seeking a warm, passionate and qualified Grade 00 Teacher to join our nurturing community on a 5-month maternity cover basis. This is a unique opportunity for an educator who is deeply passionate about early childhood education, thrives in a Reggio-inspired setting, and enjoys creative, child-led learning.
🎯 Key Responsibilities

Lead a Grade 00 class with engaging, developmentally-appropriate, play-based learning

Integrate Reggio Emilia principles into classroom activities and environment setup

Monitor and document progress using the ISASA assessment framework

Communicate effectively with parents and collaborate closely with the teaching team

Guide children through restorative discipline techniques, fostering empathy and responsibility

Provide aftercare once per week until 16:00
✅ Minimum Requirements
-
Early Childhood Development qualification (NQF Level 5 or higher)

Proven experience in Grade 00 or similar age group
-
SACE registered
-
Recent police clearance (<6 months)

Strong understanding of Reggio Emilia principles

Excellent classroom and behavioral management skills
-
Passionate about play-based, inquiry-driven learning

Warm, nurturing personality with strong communication and team skills

First Aid certification (advantageous)

Administrative and reporting skills aligned with ISASA guidelines
