The Position: Grade 3 Teacher (Starting January 2026)
Sagewood Preparatory School is seeking an experienced and passionate Foundation Phase educator to join their team in 2026. The successful candidate will be expected to actively contribute to both the academic and extra-curricular life of the school.
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

A Bachelor of Education in Foundation Phase (4-year degree) from a recognized institution

At least 3 years’ teaching experience in the Foundation Phase
-
Valid and current SACE registration
-
Excellent English language proficiency
-
Strong classroom management skills and a solid understanding of early childhood development

Computer literate
-
Willingness to participate fully in all extra-curricular activities, including sports and after-hours commitments
-
Must have a clear criminal record and be willing to obtain a police clearance certificate
-
Alignment with the Christian ethos and vision of the school
Additional Skills (Advantageous)
-
Experience in teaching Afrikaans as First Additional Language (FAL)
-
Ability to teach Music across Grades 0–7
