About Auburn House Montessori School:
Auburn House Montessori School is dedicated to providing a nurturing and academically stimulating environment where children can grow and develop in alignment with Montessori principles. The school is now looking for a dynamic and passionate Grade 4-7 teacher to join their team in January 2026.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Grade 4-7 learners across a broad curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science, Afrikaans, History, and Geography. They will work in a vibrant and supportive environment, with the opportunity to help shape students’ academic and personal growth.
The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of child development, be energetic and adaptable, and possess a good sense of humour. This role also requires a collaborative attitude and a commitment to the Montessori philosophy, though experience with Montessori methods is not mandatory.
Key Requirements:

Qualification: A BEd or a suitable degree with a PGCE qualification.

Teaching Experience: A minimum of 5 years’ experience in teaching across the curriculum (Grade 4-7).

Subject Knowledge: Strong in English and capable of teaching Mathematics, Science, Afrikaans, History, and Geography.

Montessori Knowledge: An understanding of the Montessori philosophy is advantageous but not essential.

Certifications: A valid First Aid and Police Clearance certificate are required.

Professional Registration: Must be SACE registered.

Personal Traits: The ideal candidate should be proactive, responsible, reliable, energetic, and able to work well within a team. A sense of humour and resilience will be key to success in this role.
