Job Advert Summary
This three-year internship offers a springboard for a young graduate’s career in the financial industry. The successful candidate will be expected to market risk and investment products while building a professional practice. As the internship is seen as a building phase, the package is incentivized and linked to sales targets. The Graduate Advisor will focus on prospecting and building a client base within the young professional and student demographic.
Minimum Requirements
Formal Qualifications:

A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification is required.

CFP (Certified Financial Planner) qualification would be advantageous.

South African driver’s license and own transport.
Experience and Knowledge:

Knowledge or experience in the insurance industry would be advantageous.

Familiarity with the PPS product range and PPS membership would be an advantage.
Computer Literacy:

Proficient in MS Office package.
Interpersonal and Intrapersonal Skills:

Ability to relate to customers in a diverse market.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Focus on becoming a professional Financial Planner.

Host financial workshops for students and young professionals.

Educate existing clients on sound financial principles.

Guide students and young professionals to make informed financial choices.

Collaborate with the PPS Marketing Specialist for all marketing activities and workshops on campus.

Conduct appointments with PPS student members to discuss the PPS student product range and benefits.

Build a client base by selling the PPS student product range to PPS student members.

Adhere to regulations and compliance processes in the financial industry.

Stay up to date with industry trends, qualifications, and knowledge.

Willingness to be mentored and trained by experienced managers.
