Unitrans is seeking a Graduate: Operations to join our Logistics and Transport Management team. This graduate role focuses on developing practical experience in supply chain management. The trainee will be involved in key logistics tasks, such as transportation coordination, route optimization, and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transportation Coordination: Organize and oversee the movement of goods, select appropriate transport modes, schedule deliveries, and track shipments.

  • Route Optimization: Use software and data analysis to determine the most efficient and cost-effective transportation routes.

  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, coordinate with suppliers, and ensure timely delivery of materials.

  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze logistics data, prepare reports for management, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders.

  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve any issues that arise in the transportation process, such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.

  • Compliance: Ensure all logistics activities comply with relevant regulations and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: A degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make informed decisions.

  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with various stakeholders.

  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to resolve logistics-related issues efficiently.

  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

  • Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using logistics software, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Attention to Detail: Accuracy in record-keeping and operations.
