Job Description

St Anne’s Diocesan College invites applications for the position of Head Hockey Coach, starting January 2026. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and leading the hockey programme, fostering a culture of excellence, participation, and holistic development.


Key Requirements and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will ideally:

  • Be an innovative, passionate, and experienced hockey coach who engages well with adolescents and colleagues

  • Possess SAHA Level 2/3 coaching certification

  • Have experience at provincial level

  • Be capable of leading a team of coaches and hosting regular skill-sharing sessions

  • Promote the wellness of girls and colleagues

  • Understand the importance of balancing sports excellence with the holistic development of students

  • Plan, organise, and run hockey tournaments and festivals

  • Be willing to assist with coaching other sporting codes during the off-season

  • Collaborate effectively with Strength & Conditioning staff

  • Be proficient in video analysis and related tools

  • Be organised, efficient, and reliable

  • Be open to ongoing personal and professional development

  • Be a committed team player

  • Have a minimum of five years’ experience in a school environment

  • Be able to provide a valid police clearance if offered the role
