3–5 years’ teaching experience

📘 Curriculum & Phase Expertise:

Solid experience in Foundation Phase (Intermediate Phase experience advantageous)

Curriculum planning, assessment, and moderation knowledge
👩🏫 Leadership Experience:

Experience leading/coordinating a grade, subject, or phase

Previous involvement in mentoring, committees, or curriculum development
🎯 Core Responsibilities:
✏️ Teaching:

Teach Foundation Phase learners
-
Plan and assess according to school and departmental requirements
🗂️ Department Management:
-
Monitor teaching, learning, and administration within the phase
-
Guide assessment planning and instructional methods
-
Conduct regular class visits and lesson observations
-
Facilitate mentoring and support for new/inexperienced staff
📝 Assessment & Quality Control:

Ensure assessments are moderated and meet required standards
-
Monitor learner progress and coordinate remedial support
-
Verify accurate report writing and record-keeping
👥 Team Leadership:

Lead weekly departmental meetings
-
Promote collaboration and uphold high teaching standards

Coach educators in best teaching and assessment practices
⚙️ Administration:

Coordinate timetables, rosters, and resource allocation

Manage departmental communication and staff support

Ensure staff and learners adhere to attendance and punctuality standards
