Role Overview
Lead the Accounting department as an innovative and passionate academic leader. The role focuses on teaching, curriculum development, mentoring staff, and promoting excellence in Accounting for boys.
Key Responsibilities

Manage and mentor a team of experienced and intern teachers

Teach and develop learning and assessment materials aligned with IEB standards

Inspire students and promote Accounting excellence, especially for top performers

Collaborate with other Heads of Departments on curriculum and teaching strategies

Integrate ICT tools into teaching and learning
-
Provide support structures for students requiring assistance

Embrace educational change and future-oriented teaching practices

Commit to the school’s ethos, co-curricular, and extension activities

Maintain high standards of departmental performance and development
Essential Qualifications & Skills
-
Proven academic record in Accounting with relevant experience
-
Experience with IEB Matric Accounting marking, examining, or curriculum development (advantageous)
-
Passion for Accounting and teaching young men
-
SACE registration and valid sexual offender’s clearance certificate
-
Strong leadership, mentoring, communication, and organizational skills
-
Awareness of South African curriculum and global educational trends
