We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Hockey to lead our hockey program and inspire excellence both on and off the field. Skills & Requirements:

Relevant qualifications/hockey coaching credentials.

Proven experience coaching hockey at school and provincial level.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills (with pupils, staff, parents, and external stakeholders).

Leadership ability and use of initiative in a dynamic, team-orientated environment.

Exceptional administration/organisational skills with attention to detail.

Ability to motivate and connect with pupils of varying skill levels.

A positive ambassador for hockey at all levels.

Intermediate computer literacy skills.

Ability to promote and embrace diversity and inclusion.

Commitment to and the ability to promote the values, ethos and mission of the School.

Driver’s licence/PDP is essential as travel will be required.

Ability to work after hours, weekends, and holidays.

First aid certification.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Development of Hockey – Building a strong, sustainable hockey program across the College and Preparatory School.
-
Planning and Logistics – Ensuring efficient organisation of fixtures, tours and logistics.
-
Administrative Duties – Including practice schedules and confirmation of fixtures.
-
Player Management – Providing pathways for all players to reach their potential.
-
Coach Development – Building an accountable and motivated coaching team.

Event Management – Assisting with festivals and other event planning and coordination.
-
Stakeholder and Community Engagement – Strengthening relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Financial and Resource Management – Ensuring responsible and effective use of financial resources, including budgeting for events and tours.

Commitment to Extracurricular Activities – Contributing to the School’s extracurricular and outdoor education programmes.

Support the Preparatory School Hockey Development – Including physical education responsibilities.

Match Day Management – Delivering professional and seamless match-day operations.

Entrenching the Woodridge Sporting Culture.
Commencement Date: January 2026.
