Position Summary:
APPS, an independent girls’ preparatory school, seeks a Head of Music who is an inspiring and collaborative educator with a passion for music, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the arts’ role in child development. The successful candidate will lead the music curriculum, co-curricular programmes, and inspire students to develop musical skills while fostering a love for the arts.
Minimum Requirements:

Relevant Music and/or Teaching degree; SACE registration.

Valid clearance certificate under the Sexual Offenders Act.

Commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.

Expertise in planning and delivering an engaging music curriculum.

Experience directing curricular and co-curricular music programmes (class teaching, choir, ensembles).

Proficiency in piano playing and accompaniment.

Strong leadership, interpersonal, administrative, and computer skills.

Experience managing budgets and analysing costs.

Inclusive approach respecting cultural and religious diversity.

Commitment to the Christian ethos and values of the school.
