Uplands Preparatory seeks to appoint a passionate and visionary Head of Music to lead, grow, and inspire the school’s music programme. The successful candidate will be an energetic, creative, and organised individual with a deep commitment to nurturing musical talent in learners across all levels.
✅ Key Requirements

Relevant professional teaching qualifications

Ideally, experience with the IEB curriculum

Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team

Strategic management of the music programme, including:

Budgeting, staffing, and scheduling

Coordination of musical events, concerts, and productions

Embrace and integrate technology in music education

Experience in various performance styles including:

Musical theatre, vocal, and instrumental work

Ability to plan and run hands-on, engaging musical activities

Commitment to ongoing professional development
