Fedics, part of Tsebo Solutions Group, is seeking a Health and Safety Officer to manage and ensure compliance with all food safety and health & safety procedures in the workplace.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health and Safety Procedures: Coordinate and ensure that health and safety procedures are consistently followed by all employees.

  • Compliance: Ensure adherence to the OHS Act and statutory requirements at all times.

  • Inspections & Audits: Conduct unannounced inspections, audits, and investigations to identify and implement corrective actions.

  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, food samples, and other related reports as per company and statutory requirements.

  • Staff Safety Awareness: Continuously promote and raise health and safety awareness among staff.

  • Administrative Tasks: Process and maintain required safety documentation and reports to ensure compliance and facilitate queries resolution.

  • Cleanliness & Hygiene Standards: Ensure that cleanliness and hygiene standards are adhered to across the sites.

Qualifications:

  • Grade 12 (Essential)

  • SAMTRAC and/or recognized Health & Safety Qualification (Essential)

  • 2 years’ job-related experience in health and safety

  • Experience managing a SHE system

  • Knowledge of OSH Act Policies and Procedures
