Position Overview

Dainfern College is seeking a part-time High School Aquatics Coach to develop young athletes in swimming and water polo. This role offers the opportunity to foster competitive excellence and a lifelong love for aquatic sports while supporting the College’s sporting vision.


Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct engaging training sessions for U14–Open age groups in swimming and water polo

  • Coach and manage teams during galas, fixtures, tournaments, and festivals

  • Develop players’ technique and technical skills

  • Collaborate with Heads of Aquatics/Sports to align with the College’s vision

  • Maintain a safe, positive, and disciplined training environment


Requirements

  • Proven experience coaching swimming and water polo at school or club level

  • Relevant coaching qualification or accreditation (preferred)

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Availability for part-time hours, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional weekends

  • Commitment to the values and Christian ethos of Dainfern College

  • Provision of a police clearance certificate and NRSO clearance certificate
