Minimum Requirements
-
Minimum 5 years’ experience teaching Grade R, preferably in an IEB school
-
B.Ed Degree with specialisation in Early Childhood Development (ECD)
-
SACE registration and a Child Protection Clearance Certificate
-
Proven leadership and management experience within an ECD Centre
-
Strong admin and IT skills: D6 Communicator, Edupac, SASAMS, etc.
-
Passionate about integrating 21st-century skills in ECD classrooms
-
Growth mindset and up-to-date knowledge of current educational trends
-
Excellent communication skills for engaging with staff, parents, and learners
-
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Creative, innovative, and dynamic team leader
-
Experience with staff mentoring, professional development, and coordinating school events/functions
-
Marketing mindset to contribute to brand development of the department
Core Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Early Childhood Development Department

Drive and implement curriculum aligned with modern teaching trends

Provide support, coaching, and mentorship to ECD staff

Monitor teaching standards and encourage best practices
