Job Description:

Position Overview:

The HR Intern will be part of the Human Resources team and will report directly to the Recruitment Consultant. This internship provides a platform to gain hands-on HR experience and support the HR department in various activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. HR Administration and Support:

    • Assist with administrative HR tasks such as maintaining employee records, assisting in the recruitment process, and handling employee queries.

    • Provide support with employee onboarding and offboarding processes.

    • Help with the implementation of HR policies, procedures, and practices.

  2. Employee Engagement:

    • Assist in organizing employee events and team-building activities.

    • Help maintain employee satisfaction and monitor workplace morale.

    • Support in creating communication channels for effective interaction between HR and staff.

  3. Recruitment and Selection:

    • Assist the Recruitment Consultant in managing job postings and screening candidates.

    • Coordinate interview schedules and follow-ups with candidates.

    • Assist with recruitment campaigns and talent acquisition strategies.

  4. Learning and Development:

    • Support with training administration and maintaining training records.

    • Assist in identifying development needs and liaise with managers to ensure team growth.

  5. HR Projects:

    • Collaborate on various HR projects such as performance management, employee recognition programs, and wellness initiatives.

    • Support in developing HR reports and dashboards for HR analysis.

  6. General HR Support:

    • Provide support for day-to-day HR operations, including maintaining HR databases and documentation.

    • Assist with handling employee queries and HR-related matters promptly and professionally.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Matric Certificate (Grade 12).

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the cosmetics retail sector, with a focus on make-up, skincare, and fragrances.

  • Make-up artistry experience is a plus.

  • Certificate in Beauty/Make-Up is advantageous.

  • Must be able to demonstrate expert knowledge of the cosmetics industry and current trends.

  • Team player with a willingness to learn and a problem-solving attitude.

  • Must be willing to work weekends and shifts as required.

  • Own transport is required for commuting to and from work.
