Purpose of the Role
The HR Administrator will provide comprehensive support to the Human Resources department by managing documentation, coordinating HR processes, and maintaining accurate employee records. The role demands high confidentiality, professionalism, and attention to detail, ensuring HR operations align with the school’s policies and employment legislation.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding

Coordinate the end-to-end recruitment process: job advertisements, interview scheduling, and reference checks

Draft employment contracts and offer letters in line with school policies

Verify candidate documentation and compliance with employment regulations
Employee Documentation & Movements

Manage documentation for promotions, transfers, resignations, and terminations

Process exit documentation accurately and on time

Track and update employee data, including personal details, job titles, and contract terms
Payroll Support

Collect and verify monthly payroll inputs: leave records, overtime, and employee status changes

Liaise with payroll service providers to ensure accurate and timely processing

Address and resolve payroll-related queries professionally
Policy & Process Administration

Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date employee files in compliance with POPIA

Refine HR policies, procedures, and systems to ensure standardization and efficiency

Contribute to the continuous improvement of HR administrative practices
Requirements & Qualifications

Proven experience in an HR administrative role, ideally within an educational or professional environment

Strong understanding of HR processes, compliance, and documentation

High discretion and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially

Proficiency in MS Office

Relevant HR or administrative qualification/certification advantageous

Understanding of LRA and BCEA employment regulations

Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and accurately
