Core Responsibilities:
1. Employee Benefit Administration:
-
Capture and update employee benefit data (additions, amendments, terminations, claims) on provider portals
-
Submit group scheme claims, home loan applications, medical aid changes, disability/death claims
-
Ensure accurate payroll deductions and employer contributions
-
Assist employees and HR with benefit-related queries
-
Support pensioners’ payroll administration
-
Maintain records and comply with legislation (e.g., POPIA, Pensions Act)
2. Payroll Input Processing:
-
Capture payroll inputs for branches and third parties
-
Validate and correct payroll data via dummy payslips
-
Support payroll queries and distribute payslips and documentation
3. HR Systems Support:
-
First-line support for HR systems (budget, performance management, MSS, ESS)
-
Troubleshoot and resolve system issues or escalate appropriately
-
Manage Jira Service Desk calls for system users
4. HR Administration Support:
-
Assist with employee engagement, changes, terminations
-
Administer personnel budget process and branch budget changes
-
Generate reports and presentations as requested
5. Audit Support:
-
Perform audits on payroll data and employee files
-
Coordinate feedback and support external audit processes
6. General Administrative Support:
-
Prepare and distribute policies, communications, medical aid materials
-
Provide backup for Benefits, HR Admin, and Payroll teams

Arrange travel, meetings, and assist on ad-hoc projects
