🔧 Role Overview
Provide ICT desktop support to staff, helping resolve hardware/software issues, installing equipment, maintaining IT infrastructure, and ensuring smooth operation of campus technology.
🖥️ Key Duties
1. Desktop Support
-
Respond to and prioritise service desk requests.

Log and track issues using incident/problem management systems.
-
Troubleshoot common problems and escalate complex ones to Senior ICT Support.
2. Software & Hardware Installation
-
Install and configure desktop/laptop computers.
-
Set up peripherals (monitors, printers, etc.).
-
Maintain and test IT/AV equipment (e.g., for boardrooms and training).
3. Admin Functions
-
Liaise with vendors for repairs and maintenance.

Update asset registers for software/hardware.
-
Manage IT storerooms, ensuring safety and orderliness.

Maintain software licensing bank.
📚 Qualifications & Experience

Minimum:

Higher Certificate / Occupational Certificate (NQF Level 5)

A+ / N+ certification

Experience:

6+ months of internship in IT support or similar role
