Key Responsibilities
As an Intermediate Phase Teacher at Curro Helderwyk, your duties will include:

Planning and delivering lessons using modern tools and processes.

Setting up workbooks and measuring academic improvement and achievement.

Reviewing, implementing, and adjusting the term plan as necessary to accommodate the class pace and available lessons.

Managing the classroom, including designing and setting it up for optimal performance, establishing disciplinary rules, and maintaining communication with learners and parents.

Setting up and managing assessments (both formal and continuous), including assessment rosters, revision packs, and moderation.

Planning and managing homework per subject, including revision exercises and peer marking.

Organizing and managing extramural activities and outings.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Qualifications:

BEd in Intermediate Phase Teaching
-
SACE-registered
-
Clear criminal record
-
-
Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Intermediate Phase Teacher

Knowledge of the CAPS curriculum
-

Skills:
-
Proven facilitation, problem-solving, and report-writing skills
-
Excellent communication, organizational, and planning skills
-
Proficient in Microsoft Office
-
Willing to work extended hours
