Job Description
The King’s College & Preparatory School in Bryanston seeks to appoint an experienced English Subject Head for the Intermediate Phase, who is also willing and able to teach English Home Language. The ideal candidate is passionate about education, embraces innovation, and has a proven ability to inspire learners within a progressive academic environment.

Key Responsibilities

Teach English Home Language to Intermediate Phase learners

Serve as Subject Head for English, supporting curriculum development and academic planning

Contribute to assessments, including setting, marking, and moderating exam papers

Participate fully in the school’s extracurricular and co-curricular programmes

Collaborate with colleagues as a proactive member of the academic team

Model and support the Christian ethos and values of the school
Professional Qualifications & Personal Qualities

A recognised teaching qualification
-
Registered with SACE
-
Prior experience as an English Subject Head (ISASA and IEB curriculum experience advantageous)

Strong subject knowledge in English Home Language

Innovative and dynamic classroom teaching skills

Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and communication abilities

Ability to foster collaboration, patience, and professional teamwork

Willingness to contribute to school life beyond the classroom
