Job Description
Are you a motivated and number-focused individual ready to make a real impact? Sage is looking for Finance Operations Interns to join its Midrand office and gain hands-on experience in the Order-to-Cash (O2C) process.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to engage with customers, build financial operations skills, and work in a fast-paced, high-performing environment. You’ll be trained on systems like Accpac, Evolution, and CRMs, and develop both technical and soft skills to grow your career.
What Will the Programme Look Like?
Over 12 months, you’ll rotate through various functions within the O2C process, including:
Order Compliance

Understand sales booking requirements

Extract and verify sales documentation for audit purposes

Correct master data errors
Debit Orders
-
Manage debit order incidents and rejections
-
Load and resolve debit order queries
Credit Control
-
Analyse Accounts Receivable Ledger
-
Make outbound calls and respond to inbound queries
-
Send dunning letters, prepare journals, and manage credit control inbox
-
Identify bad debts and prepare reconciliations
Receipting
-
Analyse and allocate unknown deposits
-
Allocate cash accurately to invoices
-
Investigate and resolve unallocated cash
Reporting

Support month-end reporting and KPIs
-
Assist with audit requirements and cashbook entries
Ad Hoc Tasks

Participate in departmental projects as needed
What Will Make Me Successful?
✅ Grade 12 certificate
✅ A commerce qualification (preferably in Accounting or Economics)
✅ Experience with Microsoft Excel (Accounting software knowledge is an advantage)
✅ Clear criminal record
✅ Excellent verbal and written communication
✅ Strong organisational and time management skills
✅ Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
✅ A proactive, motivated attitude and eagerness to learn
✅ Ability to work both independently and within a team
