Christ Church Preparatory School and College, an independent school in Midrand, aims to develop young men and women of Christian character within an institution of academic and extra-mural excellence. The school provides education from Grade 000 to Grade 12.
There is an opening for an internship for a student teacher in either the Foundation Phase (Grades 1 – 3) or the Intermediate Phase (Grades 4 – 6). The successful candidate must be about to start studying or is already studying, but no later than the second year of their teaching qualification. Third-year, fourth-year, or qualified students will not be considered. The role will involve assisting in the designated phase under the guidance of experienced teachers.
Key Requirements:

Be a Protestant-based Christian and support the school’s Christian ethos

Proof of current enrolment in a primary school teaching qualification

Excellent communication skills in English

Experience working with children aged 6 – 13 (e.g., au pair work, Sunday school teaching, etc.)

Computer literacy

Willingness to engage in the school’s extra-curricular activities
