What’s the Scholarship All About?
- ISACA – a global leader in IT governance, audit, risk, and cybersecurity – is offering scholarships aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion in tech.
- This initiative is tailored for individuals from historically under-represented communities in the digital space.
Scholarships Available:
- 6 Total Awards
- 4 for undergraduate students
- 2 for postgraduate students
- Each recipient will receive US$1,000, paid directly to support tuition or study costs in July 2025.
Eligible Study Fields:
- BSc Computer Science
- BCom Information Systems
- Other accredited tech-related programmes
Scholarship perks include:
- US$1,000 financial support
- 1-year free ISACA Student Membership
- Access to a certification course (ITCA or CET)
- Entry to one ISACA Virtual Conference
- Mentorship opportunities and career-building resources
- Tools to start a student group at your institution
- Ongoing academic and professional development
Who Can Apply?
Applicants must:
- Be 18 years or older
- Be currently enrolled in an undergrad or postgrad program at a South African university, university of technology, or TVET college
- Belong to an underrepresented group in IT (e.g. by race, gender, disability, veteran status)
- Create a free ISACA account
- Be willing to attend at least one ISACA event within 3 months of receiving the award
- Commit to biannual progress updates to ISACA for two years
