Job Description:
De La Salle Holy Cross College is seeking a qualified and passionate isiZulu Teacher to join their Junior School team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching isiZulu to pupils in the Foundation Phase, creating a dynamic, engaging learning environment that fosters a love for the language and its cultural heritage.
Key Responsibilities:

Teaching: Design and implement a curriculum that conveys a passion for isiZulu, tailored to different proficiency levels.

Innovative Methodologies: Use creative and progressive teaching strategies to enhance learning, integrating IT and differentiation techniques where necessary.

Extracurricular Engagement: Lead and participate in extracurricular activities, supporting all aspects of school life.

Collaboration: Work effectively with colleagues to promote the holistic development of students.

Administration: Manage administrative tasks related to teaching, including lesson planning, assessments, and reporting.
Requirements:

Education & Qualifications:
-
A recognised degree and/or a 4-year professional teaching qualification (Junior School).

Minimum 5 years’ teaching experience in isiZulu.

SACE registration and a valid clearance certificate with the Child Protection Act and Sexual Offences Register/Police Clearance.

Languages:

Excellent proficiency in both English and isiZulu.

Skills:

Strong administrative, organisational, and communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google platforms, and other relevant technologies.
