St Thomas Aquinas is seeking a proactive and technically skilled IT Support Engineer with a focus on Education Technology (EdTech) to support their technology needs. This standalone role is ideal for someone passionate about enabling digital learning through technology, particularly with Apple iPads.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary IT support resource for the institution, providing hands-on assistance to staff and students.

  • Support and maintain end-user devices, including Apple iPads, laptops, printers, and classroom technologies.

  • Assist educators and learners with the adoption and troubleshooting of EdTech platforms and tools.

  • Deliver user training and create simple guides to promote digital literacy and confidence.

  • Interface with third-party vendors for escalations, service coordination, and support of specialized systems.

  • Maintain documentation of IT assets, procedures, and support activities.

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma in IT or equivalent certification (CompTIA A+ and N+).

  • At least 3 years of experience in an End User Computing or IT support role, preferably in an educational setting.

  • Proven experience supporting Apple iPads and Windows environments.

  • Strong knowledge of EdTech tools (e.g., Mindjoy, Bark, JAMF, O365).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a user-focused approach.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Experience in supporting digital learning environments.

  • Confidence in engaging with external vendors and service providers.

  • A proactive mindset and commitment to continuous improvement.
