BET Software is hiring an IT Field Technician to provide on-site and remote technical support across various hardware, network, and software systems. 🎯 Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of on-site IT support experience

  • Valid Driver’s License (required)

  • CompTIA Network+ (required)

  • Strong experience with:

    • Networking & telecoms

    • Microsoft Suite applications

    • Service level agreements

  • Advantageous Certifications:

    • MTA / MCSA / MCSE

    • ITIL Foundation


🛠️ Key Responsibilities

🔌 Technical Support

  • Install, configure, maintain and train users on systems, networks, and hardware

  • Troubleshoot and repair network and computer hardware issues

  • Support customers onsite or remotely within SLA timeframes

  • Provide user training and support for new systems or devices

  • Participate in once-off IT projects when needed

📋 Administration & Reporting

  • Manage tickets in ITSM system within SLA and update with clear, jargon-free language

  • Ensure accurate time logging and ticket resolution

  • Compile detailed technical reports on incidents, site surveys, and change requests

  • Submit daily and monthly reports to management

🤝 Customer Focus

  • Deliver professional, empathetic support for user queries

  • Ensure compliance with POPI Act and data privacy regulations

  • Go the extra mile to exceed customer expectations


🧠 Key Skills & Competencies

  • Microsoft desktop and server apps

  • Basic networking (LAN, VPN), systems troubleshooting

  • Cabling and electronics knowledge

  • Strong written and verbal communication (especially reports)

  • Negotiation and client-facing professionalism

  • Team collaboration, ethics, and high confidentiality

  • Ability to work rotational shifts, including weekends and night shifts
