About the Role

A growing US-based company is seeking a remote IT Support Specialist to provide first-level support to clients and internal teams. This role is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting skills, a customer-first mindset, and the ability to operate independently in a remote work environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Offer first-line technical assistance via email, phone, and remote tools

  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with hardware, software, and networks

  • System Maintenance: Assist in setup, configuration, and maintenance of systems and applications

  • User Support: Provide clear guidance and training to users on system use

  • Escalation: Identify complex issues and escalate them to senior tech teams

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of tickets, resolutions, and configurations

  • Software Deployment: Help with installation and updates of applications

  • Network Assistance: Perform basic network troubleshooting (e.g., connectivity, VPNs)

  • Incident Tracking: Analyze recurring issues to reduce future downtime


Qualifications & Requirements

Experience

  • 2+ years in IT Support (customer-facing or remote preferred)

  • Remote support for international clients is advantageous

Technical Skills

  • Solid knowledge of Windows, macOS, or Linux

  • Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)

  • Experience with remote support and ticketing systems

  • Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs)

  • Hardware maintenance and troubleshooting

Communication & Soft Skills

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (Portuguese is a plus)

  • Clear communicator—able to explain technical topics to non-technical users

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking

  • Customer service orientation in fast-paced environments


Compensation & Contract Details

  • Salary: $1,000 – $2,000/month (USD) based on experience

  • Payment Frequency: Twice monthly

  • Contract Type: Independent contractor

  • Commitment: Long-term preferred
