Key Responsibilities
As an IT Technician at Orion Group, your main responsibilities will include:

Maintain IT LAN & WAN Infrastructure:
Ensuring that network systems are running efficiently and securely. You’ll troubleshoot network issues, manage traffic, and ensure devices are properly connected. -
Server & Equipment Management:
Maintaining servers, printers, routers, PCs, and desktop configurations, including server administration, event inspections, updates, and backups. -
Installation & Configuration:
Handling the installation and configuration of servers, PCs, software, hardware, networking devices, and antivirus software. -
Technical Support:
Providing telephone support and end-user application support to Orion employees across multiple locations. -
Record Keeping & Filing:
Ensuring all IT-related data is organized and accessible. You will also maintain disaster recovery procedures to ensure IT system resilience.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
To be considered for the IT Technician position, candidates must have:

A+ Certification: Demonstrating foundational skills in hardware and network troubleshooting.

N+ Certification: Essential for network, router, and infrastructure work.

MCTIP (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist): Certification in Microsoft technologies, including operating systems and servers.

Mid-Senior Level IT Experience: Prior experience in server management, network administration, and technical support.

Ability to work across multiple locations and tackle various IT challenges.
