Purpose of the Job:
As an Artisan Gr 2 Electrician, the role focuses on operating and maintaining basic electrical equipment and machinery. The job requires performing routine tasks based on strict, detailed instructions, ensuring performance targets are met while adhering to safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Shift Participation & Handover: Participate in shift handover meetings and provide feedback to the supervisor on work progress.

Root Cause Analyses (RCA): Engage in RCAs and offer insights to improve processes and plant stability.

Risk Assessments & Safety: Participate in risk assessments in accordance with legal and company safety standards.
-
Housekeeping & Waste Management: Ensure good housekeeping practices are followed, including waste disposal procedures.

Work Independence & KPIs: Work independently while understanding the business goals and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Training & Development: Contribute to the development of training modules and actively participate in personal and team development.

On-the-Job Coaching: Conduct coaching of learners and offer SME presentations on plant equipment.

Emergency Response & Stakeholder Management: Play an active role during emergencies to ensure plant recovery and effectively manage stakeholder relationships.

Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve practices, equipment, and plant sustainability.
Required Qualifications & Experience:

Formal Education:
-
Matric/N3 with Maths, English, and Physical Science.

Occupational Trade Qualification:
-
Electrical Red Seal qualification.

Experience:
-
At least 3 years of relevant working experience.

Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License.
