Job Opportunity: Intermediate End-User Computing (EUC) Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation & Maintenance: Install, configure, and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices.

  • User Administration: Administer user accounts, profiles, and device enrolment through tools like Intune or Active Directory.

  • Second-Line Support: Provide second-line support for incidents escalated from the service desk.

  • Endpoint Management: Perform regular patching, updates, and antivirus scans across endpoints.

  • Deployment & Imaging: Manage imaging and re-deployment of devices using deployment tools like MDT/WDS.

  • Compliance & Audits: Monitor device compliance, storage usage, and license status, and assist in audits to ensure cybersecurity and POPIA compliance.

  • Microsoft 365 Support: Assist in the rollout of Microsoft 365 apps and cloud-based collaboration tools.

  • User Engagement: Provide empathetic, professional support, solving problems efficiently.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Qualification: National Diploma in IT, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • Experience: 2-4 years’ experience in a desktop support or EUC technician role.

  • Technical Skills:

    • Strong working knowledge of Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking.

    • Familiarity with endpoint protection, backup tools, and Mobile Device Management (MDM).

    • Solid troubleshooting experience for hardware, OS, and application issues.

  • Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license (preferred).

Preferred Certifications:

  • Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.

  • CompTIA A+ / N+.

  • ITIL Foundation (or willingness to obtain).
