Kitchen Management & Housekeeping

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the smooth operation of the kitchen.

  • Supervise kitchen staff, including cooks and helpers, ensuring they follow food safety and sanitation standards.

  • Ensure food quality and safety.

  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs (including kitchen and school supplies).

  • Plan menus and order ingredients.

  • Manage the school tuck shop.

  • Perform housekeeping work in designated areas.

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the school, including outside areas.

  • Report maintenance problems to management.

  • Maintain safety, cleanliness, and efficiency.

  • Care for school buildings and gardens.

  • Uphold sanitation and safety standards.

  • Display integrity, honesty, and friendliness.

  • Work occasional overtime for functions, fundraising, etc.

  • Assist with health and safety requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B-Consumer Science or B-Consumer Studies).

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in housekeeping and kitchen management.

  • Experience with stock control, ordering, and receiving.

  • Appropriate experience with references.

  • Fully bilingual.

  • Own transport.

  • Non-smoker.

  • Working hours: 06h45 – 15h45.

  • No criminal record.

  • Excellent communication and administrative skills.

  • Computer literate and comfortable with modern technology.
