Educational Qualification:

Appropriate three-year National Diploma or Degree
Experience:

Appropriate management experience
Inherent Requirements:

Willingness to travel throughout the Western Cape Province

Valid driver’s licence (Code B)
Competencies (Knowledge / Skills):

Knowledge of public service sector procurement, PFMA, and regulations

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Extensive knowledge and experience in laundry operations and linen auditing
Duties
-
Manage linen stock levels at health institutions within the Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness
-
Provide accurate monthly statistics on linen stock levels and production rates to management
-
Manage and train staff regarding control of linen in hospitals and institutions per policy and guidelines
-
Provide effective linen support services to health institutions
-
Monitor and evaluate the Linen Service

Conduct regular inspections of linen stock levels
-
Manage the linen audit team
-
Oversee the new Western Cape Department of Health and Wellness Linen Depot
